Privacy Policy

Through our intake form we collect the information you choose to provide: parent names, email address, phone number, neighborhood, your due date or your baby's birth date, the type and duration of support you're seeking, the areas of support you'd like help with, and any additional notes you write to us. We also record whether you agreed to this policy and when.

We use your information only to respond to your inquiry, schedule a connection call, and plan and provide postpartum and newborn care. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Intake submissions are received by Ashlee McKenzie, both as an email notification to her practice inbox and in our hosted application database, which is not readable by the public. We may share details with a care provider on our team only when it is necessary to arrange or deliver your care.

Nurture The Roots™ provides non-medical postpartum doula care, newborn care specialist guidance, and evidence-based parent education. Information provided on this website, during consultations, or throughout care does not constitute clinical medical advice, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment. Doulas do not perform clinical tasks. Always consult your pediatrician, OB/GYN, midwife, or licensed primary healthcare provider regarding any clinical health concerns for yourself or your infant.

Because this support is non-medical, the information you share with us is not a medical record and is not covered by HIPAA.

We keep intake submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain records of the care we've provided. You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information you've shared, and we will honor that request.
